I know it’s probably not a very popular topic. I can’t help myself. I am a huge fan of price. I love it; I hate it.
The thing is I don’t think it’s the best way to go about it, and it’s not the only way. For instance, you don’t have to get prices from every manufacturer. You could get it from a few reputable suppliers who have a reputation for being fair and honest.
Yes, you need to get from a wide variety of sources. It might not be the cheapest options out there, but if you go through a trusted supplier you should get the best price you can. Ive seen a few prices on Amazon, but for the most part I think it is best to see what you can find on the web. Also, Amazon prices tend to be a bit lower than the wholesale price of the manufacturer. But there could be some big discounts from other sources as well.
This is why it is so important to have a good, trustworthy supplier. You want someone that will give you a discount if you ask for it. It doesn’t have to be a huge discount, just a nice discount, and a price that doesn’t surprise you. And a supplier that’s not charging for shipping, that you can just take it to Amazon. Ive seen a lot of crap, but Ive also seen some of the best prices on Amazon.
